Changing Numbers in Numbered Lists in text boxes in RISE
Hi ... I know it is possible to change the numbers in a numbered list block. However, is there a way to do that when you are inserting a numbered list in a text block? (For instance, when adding a numbered list into an accordion interaction.)
I have a lot of numbered steps in the courses I write. But I use a lot of screenshots as well. I'd like to start a numbered list, add a screenshot image, and then continue the numbering...not going back to number one.
Again ... I know this is possible with numbered list blocks...but how about numbered lists in text blocks?
Thanks...as always!

This update would be very helpful.

Chris, would it be possible to create an ordered list with interruptions by using command/control + enter for a new line? Does the indentation of the paragraph part work for you?
I don't have another workaround for you; the text editor doesn't allow for customizing the numbering in a numbered list.

My team is also requesting that you be able to change the start number on a numbered list. We've got a lot of process documents with image blocks that require us to split a numbered list with images then resume with the numbered list.

Hi, any updated on being able to start the numbered list at a different number other than 1, in a text box?
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for reaching out! I have no updates regarding this feature request. I have informed our product team of your follow-up to help them prioritize, and I've added your voice to the request.
In the meantime, if you have other comments on how this feature will benefit you and your organization, please feel free to share them here. I'll add them to the report.

This feature would be so helpful as sometimes we have to break up information into different blocks with images and the numbering does not continue, even when you try to "force" it by typing the next number before the text. It will automatically update the first item to #1 in preview.
Thank you for your feedback, Lyly! I have added your voice to this feature request.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

There is an option to achieve this using the Mighty! chrome extension. It adds a Mod to the List blocks which allows you to continue the list. https://mighty-by-maestro.notion.site/Continuation-option-for-Lists-ee2cb0883ab34ab3a4ea952aa595bc9f
Otherwise you would have to add some JavaScript to your published course in order to achieve this! Let me know if you need any direction there.
