Collaboration in Storyline 360
Hello StephanieNorton,
Thanks for reaching out! Working in Team Slides for collaboration can be excellent for creating project templates, reusable slides for each course, and inserting reusable slide content.
I recommend that you and your team utilize Cloud Backup to upload and access the most recent version of your .story file via Review 360 during the development process. This will help you collaborate seamlessly!
Here's how to back up your existing project file:
- In the Publish window, select either the Create a new item or Publish a new version of an existing item option.
- Check the Upload project file to Review 360 box, as shown below. (The box is grayed-out for the manual upload option.)
- Click Publish, then open the Review 360 share link to access the uploaded content and project file.
If you need to view an earlier version of your course that is in development, you can check the versioning in Review 360.
Let me know how it goes!

Thanks for offering your suggestion, Luciana! What we wanted to do was to work on the same project file to build a course together, rather the options suggested.
I do see that through Review you can download the files shared, but I'm not sure if that's easier than simply opening the project in Team slides and saving a new version each time we work on the project. It is the only way we've found to "both" work on the same project.

Hi StephanieNorton,
Happy to chime in. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re running into!
It’s possible that you can’t see each other’s slides as options to replace because you can only replace slides that you shared, not those shared by teammates.
For collaboration in Storyline 360 using Team Slides, we recommend this workflow:
- Assign different sections or scenes to each teammate.
- Work in separate Storyline files.
- Share completed sections via Team Slides.
- Combine everything into a final project.
Since Storyline is desktop-based, real-time co-authoring isn’t available, but this method helps keep collaboration smooth.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.
