Colors Changing when Slide is Duplicated??

I have a slide with several shapes and text boxes, in various colors. When I duplicate the slide to create another version of it, the colors change - see attached screenshots. I can't figure out what's causing it - ideas? (Same thing happens if I copy and paste the slide instead of duplicating it.) I have to make several versions of this slide, and I'd really like to not have to adjust the colors on each one...

FWIW - I'm working in the new 64-bit version of SL, but I tried in the 32-bit version too, and the same thing happened.

  • Hello Sheila!

Thank you for sharing screenshots! There is quite a difference when the slide is duplicated. Are you finding this happens with every project that you're creating in Storyline 360 or just one? Additionally, are you saving the file to a network drive or shared drive? If so, I'd recommend saving the project locally (typically C: drive) and then duplicating the slide to see if that makes a difference.

Lastly, if you can share the .story file with us, we'd be happy to test it on our end. You can share it in this discussion or privately in a support case.

  • I've only noticed it happening in the one project I was working on yesterday... and I am definitely working on my C drive, not a shared drive. I'll open a support case - thank you!

  • Hi, Sheila!

Thanks for following up on this! I see you've opened a case with our team, so you'll be hearing from one of our talented Support Engineers shortly via email!
