Concise the Menu steps

If Adding a Process for a user Application, it has multiple steps however, the number of steps cannot be the same as the menu items in the menu bar. Any suggestions to structure and concise the menu steps?

    There are different ways to customize the Menu (Customize the Menu in Storyline 360 - E-Learning Heroes (articulate.com)). 

    For example, you could indent the slide that isn't a full step. Or you could delete it. (Note: Deleting an item in the Player > Menu area does not delete the slide from the course.)

    Note: I think it's better to indent. Why? If the item is deleted, the Menu can't show exactly where the user is in the course. And the user can't return to that slide by clicking the Menu. 

    Here's another way to handle the situation:

    • Put the special content on a layer.

    or

    • Show the special content in a lightboxed slide.
      • If you do this, I suggest that you put the special slide in a separate scene. Then delete that scene and its slide from the Menu.
