Student Adjust Lesson Player
Hello,
I am doing some research on authoring tools and LMSs for a college course and would like to know if the end user (learner) can modify the lesson player for an SL or Rise course. If so, to what extent are they able to adjust the player?
Thanks in advance!!
Jennifer
Hi Jenny,
In most cases, as far as I know, there isn't a way for a learner to modify the lesson player. There are some accessibility controls that a learner can modify. See this article for an explanation. Storyline 360: Accessible Player Controls - Articulate Support
There might be some JavaScript master or CSS wizard that can hack the system so that it is possible for learners to change the player. For most of us mere mortals dealing with the vanilla product there isn't much else we can do. Best of luck on your studies.

The same applies to Rise 360: there isn't a way for a learner to modify the player within Rise.

Jennifer, luckily the Rise platform uses your learner's web browser as the 'player' so if the user has any assistive software addons (like a screen reader) and preferences set, these works seamlessly with Rise. Also user preferences like font size and viewport sizing via browser or system settings, can be adjusted by the user and Rise lesson output will obey these preferences. Storyline not so much.
