I am not an LMS expert. However, I think the way you set up your scoring in the Articulate deliverable carries over two-fold; Did the learner pass or fail and their completion status (not started, in-progress, completed). I have found that a learner can fail a course or assessment with a completion status as "completed". Technically, they did finish the course, but failed it. I also had to experiment with the different Scorm types and found that SCORM 2004 3rd Edition worked as I needed it.
