Corrupeted Files
Hi Team
Has anybody come across the issue of not being able to save project files due to corrupted data?
Any assistance is appreciated.

Most commonly, this happens when someone is not saving locally. This article may provide some insight - https://community.articulate.com/series/nicole-s-articles/articles/follow-these-tips-to-reduce-your-risk-of-corrupting-or-losing-project-files
Hi Warren, and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community!
I'm sorry to hear about your project file, and thanks for sharing the error message you're receiving. I understand how frustrating it is to lose a project file and I'm happy to help investigate further. In addition to the resource that Ron shared, you can also try checking your temp files for a backup file. Here's how:
- Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
- Scan the contents of this folder for files that start with the name of your projects. If you find any, copy the latest versions to your desktop.
- Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story
- Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
I hope this helps! If you have additional questions, please let us know!
