Create a pie chart with four slices

Hello, I saw Allison LaMotte's template that uses a pie chart. Storyline: Animated Charts & Graphs - Downloads - E-Learning Heroes (articulate.com) I love the graphics and would like to know how you changed the size of the pie slices.  I need a four-slice and a six-slice pie to add a different color to each slice, but I can't figure out how to make the pie in the Storyline 360 so I can change the colors. Does anyone have suggestions or templates for sharing four slices of pie?

I made the pie chart in PowerPoint, but when I bring it into Storyline, I can't change the colors, and I have issues maintaining the size of the slices.

Thank you

Insert a pie shape from the Basic Shapes category in Storyline. Utilize the edit points to customize the pie shape. Duplicate the pie shape as necessary and align, rotate or position  them to create a pie chart effect. This method allows you to color each individual segment of the pie chart.

Hi, I came across this thread because I want to make an interactive pie chart.  When you say "insert a pie shape", how are you able to make a 360 degree pie?  I can make pieces, but I have no way of knowing how to make a shape that is exactly 90 degrees (for example)?

What I really wish is for the ability to make charts by simply entering parameters and values.

        Hi Gordon,

Unfortunately, Storyline does not have built-in functionality to create charts by inputting parameters or values directly. The only workaround available is to manually create shapes (such as pie shapes) by editing their points, adjusting the shape's size and angle to represent specific data values. This requires a more hands-on approach, but it can be useful for simple visualizations. To create charts using parameters or existing Storyline variable values, you can integrate the Chart.js JavaScript library, as demonstrated in the example below. This approach allows you to dynamically generate and display charts based on data from Storyline variables, providing a more flexible solution for data visualization.

  • Nedim, you are a lifesaver. I am self-taught and never learned about the edit points.

    THANK-YOU

Hello, I have 4 dynamic variables whose sum always equals 100%. I would like to create a diagram where the size of the slices would adapt to my variables.  Thanks !

What kind of solution are you looking for? One that uses Chart.js, as in the example above, or an internal solution within Storyline? You could also upload your project here for a better look.
