Thank you Elizabeth! Do you know if there is any way to change the background overlay from black to another color in the feedback?
By default the feedback layers are "dialog" layers which automatically have a semi-transparent black background. You can change that in the Feedback Master (View -> Feedback Master) by changing the Background Style. I probably wouldn't use one of the built-in options but would choose format background (Screenshot below) and pick a different color/transparency level:
