Customise the Passing Score for Quizzes

Hi, is there any way to customise the passing score?

Currently it's default at 80%.

Also, is it possible to pull scores from multiple quizzes?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

  • Hello, Heinz!

It sounds like you're not seeing the quiz score when you test your Rise course in your LMS, is that right?

When you published your course, did you select quiz result as the tracking option?

If so, I'd like to test your course in another environment, like SCORM Cloud. That will help me narrow down the cause of the issue.

Would you mind sharing the published output file with me?

  • Hi there! I'm having this exact same issue. I'm new to both Rise and the LMS my company uses. When I export to SCORM I have selected the quiz result as the tracking option, but when I'm in the LMS it does not show me the score?? It just shows a passed of 100% if the course was completed. Can you assist?

      Hi Vickie,

I’m sorry you’re having some trouble with this.

You mention that you’re new to using your company’s LMS. One of the things you can try is testing the LMS using SCORM Cloud.

This article about reporting completion and success statuses to an LMS might be helpful too.

If you’re still having trouble I suggest reaching out to our Support Team. They can take a look at your course and figure out what might be happening.

  • Hi, want to track the scores but i don't want to put a passing score. Is it possible?

      Hi Brigitte,

Right now, there isn’t a way to do that in Rise 360. Would you be up for logging a feature request to tell us more about your specific needs?

In the meantime, if there’s anything else I can do to help, please let me know!

  • I have a quiz with 4 questions and passing score setting is set to 75%. If only 3 are answered correctly I achieve 75% but the passing score still shows not passing the 80%.

      Hi Kandiace,

I just created a quiz with 4 questions, and the pass mark set to 75%.

If I answer three questions correctly, the quiz results page shows 75% and a pass.

Thanks for checking this "Cool Logo" Karl. My course now shows what you experienced too. Maybe it needed a break from me to work properly.

Still scratching my head but appreciatively.

I have a Rise 360 course with different chapters (videos) and related questions. You have passed if you answer 80% of the questions correctly at the end.
Do I understand it correctly: this is only possible if I cover all questions in the same quiz. I can't take 4 quizzes (once after each video) and then combine these 4 quizzes at the end?

      Hi Simone,

You are correct.  You can set up a quiz block at the end of the course and report the results to your LMS.  After each video, you can set up a knowledge check, but these won't be scored and reported.

We have a feature requested to include a video with a quiz, so this may work with what you have in mind.  We'll let you know as soon as we have an update from our team about this feature.
