Disable "Pause on click" by default

I really like that you can uncheck "Pause on click" on a video now. This allows me to put a video on the timeline and use the slide's progress bar and controls instead of the video's, and then the two timelines don't get out of sync if a user happens to click the video.

Before, I would have to put an invisible rectangle on top of each video, because the video's player controls allow the user to skip past the whole video without watching it and therefore can't be used by us.

But now I find that I always have to remember to uncheck this box. Is there a way this could be added to the preferences or something so it can be disabled by default?
