Discrpencies between Review and Rise comments

In the comments column in Review, line breaks show up. When looking at the same comment within Rise, the text is rendered in a complete block without any formatting.

In the comments column in Rise, comments may have a Screenshot link that I can mouse over to see which part of the lesson is related to the comment, but the same comment in Review doesn't show any screenshot.

is there a reason they are different?

  • Hi Tim_,

What you’re seeing is currently expected behavior. Comments can be presented differently between Rise and Review, including how line breaks and screenshot context are displayed.

I can understand why a more consistent commenting experience would be helpful to your workflow. I’d love to learn a little more:

    • When you move between Rise and Review, how do these differences affect the way you review or act on feedback?
    • What would a consistent commenting experience between Rise and Review ideally preserve for your team?

That context will help us better understand what you need from the commenting experience.

The key issue is to maintain consistency between the two views.

Another issue is that the screenshot does not always match what the reviewer was actually viewing. The screenshot often includes only part of what was on screen or even shows a different screen area altogether.

Review 360 has a lot of potential to be extremely useful, but due to these flaws we only use it when we have no other option.
