Hi Brett - thanks for responding. The issue is not with spinning loader. The GCOD looks like this:
The users are seeing this pop up at random times. From what I can see from Adobe online forums and another thread here, it has to do with Flash memory. However, I've seen some sites suggest going back to the developer, which is obviously me, and I'm not sure what I can do in Storyline to prevent this from happening. I'm also wondering if the fact that it is on SharePoint is causing this? Basically, I'm not sure whether the issue is related to Adobe Storyline or SharePoint :S

Ashley - it is still happening on computers with up-to-date Flash.
Hi Erika,
I know see that we've got two threads going.
I just replied to the other one you mentioned in regards to some additional testing.

Hi All, I've been able to load SL outputs onto our SharePoint 2010 environment just fine using the techniques described earlier in this thread, however, my company is moving to SharePoint 2013 Online and does not wish to allow the browser to render HTML files from SharePoint for security reasons. A workaround from our IT department was to "convert the story.html file to .aspx." Has anyone had any experience with this? I thought I would post here since it is SharePoint-related.

Kenji - we just upgraded to SP 2013 & I'm running into this problem as well (not being able to open an html file from SharePoint). Did converting to a .aspx work for you?

Hi Amy! Yes, the conversion to .ASPX did work for me. I simply renamed the .html files to .aspx and changed the HTML code in the main story.aspx file to point to the newly named files. This way, the browser detection still works and redirects appropriately. We have run into issues with the mobile view for SP2013 not quite rendering properly on mobile browsers. Our next step is to disable the mobile view so that it does not interfere with the SL output launching.

This may seem like a silly question but I am really new to this but do you change the file extensions before you upload into SP 2013?

Hi Diane, you simply change the file extension from .html to .aspx on all .html files. Make sure to edit the story.html code to ensure that the references to those other .html files are accurately reflecting the new .aspx extensions.

I am having trouble viewing my project on our SharePoint site. I uploaded everything just fine and I can view it but the side background changed from white to grey when I open it in SharePoint. So all of the pictures in my project that have a white background all now stand out against the grey background that I see on SharePoint. It didn't look like that when I previewed the slides before publishing it. Any ideas? I have SharePoint 2010.
Hi Jennifer,
Have you looked at how this appears outside of Sharepoint? You may want to use a site such as Tempshare for comparison of how it behaves in your web server vs. there. Are you setting the background within the player or on the slide itself? Are you able to share a copy of your .story file here?

Hi Ashley,
Thank you for the response. I set the background on the slide itself. Does that make a difference? Unfortunately I'm not able to put it anywhere but our companies SharePoint site.
Hi Jennifer,
Are you able to share the .story file with us here, or even send it to me here privately? That way I could test it on a site like Tempshare (where it will automatically be removed after 10 days).
You may want to check into other elements such as the player background being set to see if that's interfering with it - as you wouldn't see that while editing the slide, but you would see it in preview or in the published output. Although we don't generally recommend testing the published output locally - you may want to take a look at the story.html file before uploading to Sharepoint and see if it looks different there which would help you narrow this down to something occurring in Sharepoint.

Hi Ashley,
I created a little work around and have it solved now. I tried viewing it before moving to SharePoint as you suggested and the slide background still took on the color of the player instead of plain white like I had in the slide, so it has to be something in this presentation that I just can't figure out. I also created a new project and did just a few slides with the same pictures from the original project just to test and those worked perfectly so I'm sure I did something strange with my original project. So I went to the slide masters and just added a white box to fill the screen and moved it to the background and "poof" it worked perfect. It's kind of a silly work around but the other projects I made worked just fine so I'm not that worried about it. I really appreciate your help. I absolutely love this tool!
