Displaying captions in videos in Articulate 360

Hello,

I am not using the video player for the training I am creating in Articulate Storyline.  The end users do not like the look of the player. I am trying to add a video with captions.  I think I have successfully imported the video and captions, but I cannot see them (the captions).   I have the video controls showing below the video, see attached image.

How can I get the captions to display?

Thank you!

  • Hi, Melissa,

The Player Properties include the option to show the CC button on slides that have captions:

If you want to force the captions to appear, add a trigger that adjusts the value of the Player.DisplayCaptions variable to True.

    Hi Judy!

I appreciate your quick response. I am not using the player. Our end user does not like the look of the player. We have other videos, which work fine.  I just cannot display the captions. I was hoping there is another option. Or that it may be possible to use the player only with this video slide.  I used a lightbox to display the video.

    Thank you!

See the last sentence of my post above for how to show the captions without the Player button.
