Does Articulate Storyline support .odf files?

Title says it all. I don't have MS Office, working from Google and LibreOffice so using .odf file formats when I export. Does Articulate Storyline support these?

Related, it also seems like I have to own an MS Office license to be able to import Powerpoint slides into Articulate Storyline (desktop), even if I was sent a .pptx file that I can open via any number of means (google slides, adobe, LibreOffice Impress). Can anyone confirm this? The different options on the help page for Powerpoint slide importing issues: https://www.articulatesupport.com/article/Articulate-Storyline-360-Failed-to-Import-PowerPoint-Presentation
all seem to suggest that you should already have a Powerpoint license. Is this really the case?

Thanks!

PS: There doesn't seem to be a generic, non-360 tag in the content tags list, does Articulate not support questions about the desktop versions of their software?

  • Hi Abunchanada!

    Happy to help!

Importing .ODF files into Storyline 360 is not supported. Currently, users can only import PowerPoint files, as well as other .story files into Storyline 360.

I can also confirm the information shared in our documentation is accurate. Users must have a supported version of PowerPoint installed on their machine in order to import PowerPoint content into Storyline 360.

Also, we're glad to answer questions regarding our desktop applications. Since your question is related to Storyline 360, one of our desktop applications, the Storyline 360 tag is best suited for this type of discussion. I see your post was tagged accurately with 'Storyline 360', so no worries!
