e-Learning Developer - Cannabis Industry Los Angeles

Job Summary:

As an e-Learning Developer at Shryne, you will be creating interactive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing e-learning materials to train retail level employees through the use of Storyline 3, Articulate 360, and Photoshop. You will be given static content and SOPs which will need to be converted into a fun and easy to learn format for use on an LMS. Our e-Learning Developer will create a training program that captures the attention of the learner through the use of videos, games, branched scenario simulations, etc. You will partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content. You will also define learning objectives, course structure, learning content and assessments.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Design and produce interactive, engaging, and effective online learning experiences, including simulations and games
  • Ability and willingness to follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including storyboards, eLearning modules, activities, scenarios, assessments, or performance support.
  • Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions. Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.
  • Partner with our team on any updates to ensure that educational content is up to date
  • Convert existing courseware material to our new LMS to allow for self-service learning of our core curriculum
  • Create all course content and continue to iterate on the exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
  • Decide on the criteria and metrics used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Guide new hires through a methodical onboarding process to facilitate making decisions around their needs and goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with members in product, sales, and support to identify target audience's training needs and cultivate a strong sense of community and information sharing.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age to work in cannabis

Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of instructional design / eLearning development experience
  • Scrappy mentality—we wear many hats and are willing to get our hands dirty.
  • Technical experience
  • Excellent creative and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including creating tutorials, graphics, audio, demonstrations, simulations, and games
  • Optimistic self-starter attitude, willing to drive and own projects from start to finish
  • Proven success building interactive self-paced courses from discovery and storyboarding to production and publication, for all levels of learners
  • Demonstrated experience with an enterprise Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Portfolio to demonstrate the type of work you have created

Pay: $70,000 - $80,000 (DOE)

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
