Easiest way to hide a button
This should be simple but I'm struggling with it. Basically I want an exit module button to appear after user has interacted with four buttons each of which shows a layer.

Using variables works well, but you need a trigger to change each variable, and one to show the button. Using states usually works, and only needsone trigger to show the button. Changing variables requires triggers, while changing states does not.
