Edit Caption Workflow

Sorry to hear that editing closed captions in Storyline has been such a pain point for you. We're currently tracking a feature request to improve the editing experience for closed captions. I've linked this discussion to the feature report, so we can notify you if this enhancement makes it to our Feature Roadmap.
I've run into this from time to time, but it sounds as if you're experiencing the issue all the time. If that's the case, I would reach out to Articulate and see what they can advise. Otherwise, you're probably better off by clicking at the end of the caption to start with, so the "jump" occurs when you initially start with a given caption, then relocate the cursor to where you want to really work.
