Embedding Storyline file into powerpoint

I just tried to hyperlink directly from ppt 2010 to the story.html file in the output folder and it seemed to open fine and start immediately in a new browser window.

Is that what you were trying to do?

I tried similar things like Tim.

Just make sure that you have an internet browser which has the popup allowed and has the macromedia security settings correctly set (link)

if she was tring to deliver this via cd or stick or something instead of local are there any file linking conventions she needs like ...// or something to get her to the correct folder on the cd.  I know there is something but I always ask my it guys whenever I am sorting through something like this

Hi Tim,

No, normally not.

If you have resouce files, they are automatically embedded into the SL output file.

If you have file that you reference in your course and which are not part of the resources, then when you link them in your trigger, use the '...' (3 dots) to look for them. If you use this method they will also be included in the SL output file

Perhaps I am confused on what Jodie is wanting  She is going the other way I think.  She wants ppt to call the file.  Does it use the same attachment conventions?

She can hyperlink directly to the SL story.html file.

There is a snag!

Powerpoint has issues with the / and \, so to avoid all kind of problems, it is best to save the PPT file where the .story.html file is saved and link to the storyline.html without any directory structure...

HI I was wondering if there is a video on this to show me step by step how to do this please? I am using Power point to deliver a session however I wish to add a link on the PPT to a Storyline file. I do not mind it opening in a separate window. However I do not know how to do this.
