Enable Custom Next Button from Hidden to Normal

Hey Everyone-

On the slide I have uploaded for review, I've tried to set conditional triggers to change my custom next button from hidden to normal after the learner clicks all of the buttons on the slide. I tried the following:

  1. Set the custom next button (labeled "Next Button 2") to hidden when the timeline starts on the slide.
  2. Set five variables of "PHW" to equal "0". Example. PHW1 equals 0, PHW2 equals 0, etc.
  3. For all five buttons on the slide, I set a "PHW" variable to "1". Example. Action= Adjust variable, Set PHW1 to value 1, When= When the user clicks Button 1
  4. For all five buttons on the slide, I set the state of the custom next button to normal when user clicks the button, if "PHW" equals value 1.

With those triggers, the button is still hidden. I also tried "True/False" variable triggers (which you will see disabled) and those didn't work. I am new to Storyline triggers, so I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

Thanks in advance- Susan

    Hi Susan;

    the last layer it stays open at the end of the audio and it covers the buttons on the base layer;
    you could move the button up to layer 5, or have layer 5 closing at the end of the audio;

  • Hi Stefanocraba-

    That helped tremendously. I created a trigger "Hide layer this layer when the timeline ends on this layer" for each layer and the custom next button popped up. Thank you so much! I have dealing with this issue for several days, so it is a relief to fix it.

    You're welcome Susan;

    as well instead of setting up triggers you could set that up from the layer properties panel, https://360.articulate.com/review/content/054a7497-4644-4e17-9fc7-cb34c68e92f5/review
