Hello Ken!
It sounds like you want the user to move to the next slide once the timeline ends. If so, you'll want the slide to be set to Automatically, and the Navigation set to locked.
I've explained the different options in this short demo. Please let me know if you have additional questions!

So I set to auto and locked. The slides still advance automatically and do not allow the user to advance or go to previous because it is locked. Did I do something wrong here?
My goal here is to make it so the user has to advance on their own, but only after a certain amount of time as past. Does that make sense?

Thanks for returning with an update! Yes, that makes sense, but I'm afraid you won't be able to create this is Presenter 360. This sounds like an interaction that you'll want to use Storyline 360 for.
Here's a demo of how you can build this in Storyline 360.
