Sorry to hear that you ran into this snag.
I can confirm that I was able to observe the same issue on my end. We are currently also tracking a known bug that causes Storyline to throw an error when switching to a custom player that contains a logo.I've added this community post to that report so we can notify you as soon as a fix is released.

I have some great news to share. We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Build 3.80.30988.0, we've included important fixes and new features.
One of the bugs we've fixed is:
- An error occurred when switching to a custom player with a logo
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions here.
