Essay Question

I also need this functionality. Have you figured out a workaround yet? I've seen a few javascript hacks, but I need something I can hand off that is simple.

This is not on the upcoming roadmap, so I do not have any additional information to share. It is still open with our team, and this conversation is attached so that we can share updates with you here.

However, I've seen folx mention setting this up using JavaScript, and here's one of those conversations. I look forward to other suggestions from others as well.

I am using Short answer and Essay question slide and not able to limit the characters. If I type in Short answer input field it allows more than 256 characters and same happens in Essay slide. I guess this bug has not been fixed yet.

We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Update 53, we’ve included important fixes and new features.

One of the fixes we’ve included is:

Essay questions stopped enforcing the maximum number of characters specified by the author.
