Expand/Collapse Sections in Rise
Hello everyone,
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Automatically collapse sections in sidebar and compact navigation.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available, though you might need to publish your Rise 360 course again.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update.
Hi all,
Learners can now collapse sections of the course outline in the sidebar to see the overall structure of a course. Take a look at this quick Peek for how that'll behave, and note this is automatically included if you're using Sections within your course.

Are there any plans to have a course/navigation setting for being able to configure whether the sections are collapsed or expanded by default when the course is first viewed?
Or should I request the enhancement? Eeeek, I sound ungrateful for this feature-- not my intent. :D- AshleyT-Pollard8 years agoStaff
Hi Cass,
The current set up is that they're expanded and can be collapsed by the learner if needed. We're always happy to hear how different variations on features would help you, so please definitely share your thoughts!

From what it appears that solution is looking at collapsing the sections on the learner side whereas I would really like to see the same applied to on the developer side. Also I'd like to be able to group and move whole sections. There might be a way to do both of these on the development side but I have not found it (operator error??).
