Export closed captions in bulk?

Hi there, Tricia.  I hear your pain points!  Do you have closed caption files that are already in your Storyline project that you need to export for use in another project?

I created the closed captions directly in my SL project, and they don't necessarily match the notes for the screen. I was going to export them in bulk to have the most accurate record.

Are you able to share your .story file with us? That way we can look at the captions you included vs. what is on the screen and do some additional testing from there. You can share it here using the "Add Attachment" at the bottom of the reply or send it along to our Support team by uploading here. 

Has there been an update on this? I also have a presentation that has over 40 slides. I have to publish it as a video for uploading to our LMS. I need to have closed captions on it and don't want to have to do it slide by slide.

Expect this feature in 2030. Exporting anything in bulk has been a huge pain-point of Storyline users for a long long time. I have found threads 7+ years old that still have active feature requests.

Can we export captions in bulk with the new updates??

Currently, closed captions are exported one-by-one because audio and video files are treated as individual files. We don’t have plans for a feature to export all media captions in bulk right now, but we appreciate you letting us know this is important to you. We’ll update this discussion if our plans change in the future.

If you do not plan to allow for exporting in bulk, it would be nice to have a single icon on the ribbon to export each file. Having to open captions and then export is a royal pain. 

Yes-this should be a feature icon for open & export minimally, but why stop there? Add them to the library so that we can bulk export. This is yet another practical and unaddressed request that is 2 years old.
