Exporting and text to speech
If I export my Storyline 360 file to Word, will it export the text to speech text that I have entered? My goal is to create a script for my voiceover person. Thanks for your guidance.
Hi Bill,
I cannot speak for Mac, but it looks like they may be using the Slide Notes to populate their text to speech and then including this in the publish to word output.

I would like to add my voice for this request. I would have definitely benefit from this kind of feature on my current project. Hope it will be implemented soon.

Although the SL tts voices sound good, they still have that synthesized monotone feeling. As my trainees complain about it and it doesn't look like voice upgrades will happen soon, this export feature would be highly appreciated.
I agree with an earlier comment that if one could export all the tts text and then replace the SL generated audio in some automated way it will help a lot. The "Replace audio with a narrated voice" feature is part of the SL advertised features.....but currently it takes hours to try and replace 200 voice clips. - AndreaKoehntop-Community Member
Hello Ivo and Johan!
Thank you for sharing how this feature would be beneficial to you.
I have shared your comments with my team, and we will be sure to update you if this feature makes it onto our feature roadmap in the future!

I would also like to cast my vote for this feature.

Me too. We would save a lot of time. I don't need the "notes" for nothing, I use the captions function for the subtitles, but I think that I cannot export the captions either (without the audio), and for the full project, as I would need in order to be reviewed, proofread, etc.
If someone has an update about how to do it, please let me know!
Thank you very much in advance.

Hi, I am wondering has there been any progress on exporting the TTS easily. or separate from the slides? Thanks,

Please implement this ASAP.
The exporting notes "solution" is just not adequate.
While we use the notes tab for an initial script, we also use it for context and functionality directions for team members. These are not needed by proofreaders/voiceover talent or the person feeding the script into the AI we use (elevenlabs) for some eLearning and can be confusing.
The TTS script also changes as we build a project, sometimes functionality changes a script or we may get a change request from stakeholders or subject matter experts after reviewing. We then have to change the TTS and keep the note up to date separately.Plus note's are limited to one per slide on the base layer. If I have interactive elements and TTS/audio on another layers then they're either missed out or have to go in the main notes.
So when you export to word for proofing or recording, you can include all the layers, but all the notes remain on the first layer.
We're dealing with projects with 100+ slides, many of which have multiple (sometimes many) layers. - KarenCourt-8a54Community Member
Was anything ever updated about this feature? It would be so useful for the translations team

Thanks for checking in on this!
I don't have any updates to share at this time as our development team has been prioritizing other features. Not to worry! I've included you in the feature report and will update this discussion as soon as we have news to share.
