Final Tweaks - Check for File
I have built a game of Jeopardy that is fully functional at this stage, but I'd like to tweak a couple things before adding to the Samples section if possible.
Current Design:
- Intended to be played in a group environment, with a Host and 3 players (or 3 teams). Only the host will operate the game environment.
- Allows customization to play either 1 or 2 rounds. 4 topics x 5 questions per round.
- Includes a Final Jeopardy round and Daily Doubles, with wagers.
- Allows customization to include long form topics that are introduced before each round.
- Allows multiple players to score each question.
- Includes a Fast Forward option to skip the remainder of the round if timing is an issue.
- Tracks questions that are skipped or answered incorrectly and compiles them into a printable report. The report is displayed in the browser using file: gamenotes.html
- Includes Help pages for both the host and the developer.
- Includes a test mode that includes all the features, but limits each round to only 5 questions.
- Topics and Questions are entered as variables. Answers are custom formatted to allow greater variety: answer vs additional feedback, bullet points, graphics, etc.
What's Missing:
- It does not allow importing the topics and questions from a spreadsheet.
- For this to be useful, the answers would also need to be switched to variables
- It does not check if gameresults.html exists.
- Ideally it should produce an error somewhere and should hide the Game Report button.
- I have attempted to do this, but have been unsuccessful. My attempt is still included on the Results slide.
To view the project, with the report:
- Preview the story
- Click Setup Instructions
- Click PUBLISHING
- Follow the instructions for Web Publishing
- Once Published,
- if you want to see an actual report:
- play either the standard or test game.
- Use Fast Forward if you want.
- if you want to cheat and jump directly to the Results slide:
- open the hidden menu and click Results.
- It will presume you answered every question correctly, and assign preset scores.
- The report will be blank since you didn't allow it to compile the list of issues.
- if you want to see an actual report:
