font color defaults in Rise

Accessibility is often emphasized for our users, but it is an issue for us as course builders as well. I am getting older and find it very difficult to read the light grey text on a white background in the default template blocks in Rise (wondering if the developers were out of class on the day they discussed appropriate contrast)  :). I suppose this is trendy now, but it's just plain hard to read. Is there any way to make the text default to black or something easier to read?

Thanks in advance.

Higher-contrast and larger-size fonts in the development tool would be very much appreciated. Also, a larger touch-target for any ellipses (...) in the Rise UI would be helpful for all users, but especially helpful for users with mobility issues.

  • Hi there, Liz and Whitney! Thanks so much for these ideas. Accessibility is very important to us, and we'll let you know if we make changes in the future that will address the requests you shared here.

  • Hi again! I wanted to let you know about a new Rise 360 enhancement. The default text color is now true black to improve accessibility conformance.

Open one of the courses on your Rise 360 dashboard to see the difference!

This is excellent and thanks so much for alerting me to those changes. Very much appreciated!
