Fonts in text variables - inconsistency and struggles

Hello all,

I have been struggling in a recent project with text variables not including the assigned font.

The project has several instances of different variables using the same font. Some of them work, some of them don't, and I can't see any consistent reason why.

More frustrating, the precise instances that work or don't work seem to change each time I export the project (whether to Articulate Review or SCORM).

I have attempted to set up a demo file. Here are two examples in Review:

Variable text test | Review 360

Variable text test2 | Review 360

In the first, everything looks correct, though that was the first time that happened in several versions:

In the second, I re-exported to Review with a different name. That was the only change:

In that instance, some variables worked, but all those using the 'Bold' font variant reverted to the backup font (sans serif?).

If I check the 'output.min.css' file in the exported SCORM, I can see that some instances of fonts are missing a source:

These are the same font -- I don't know why they are split up in the CSS file.

If I copy the source URL from one and overwrite the 'null', the file works fine.

Of course, I can't rule out an issue with the font itself (it's a company font), but I don't know what this could be or how to troubleshoot a font file, and that wouldn't explain why it occasionally works as expected.

If anyone has experienced something similar or has any suggestions to fix I would much appreciate it.
