Forced Navigation

Hello Community,

I have four images on a slide, each when clicked, takes the learner to a triggered slide layer. I want the learner to only be able to click on each image and related layer one at a time before they can move onto the next slide.

I have tried using States but have had no luck. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

  • Give the buttons that access layers 2-4 the Initial state of Disabled.

That will force the user to click button 1 first.

On the 1st layer, add a trigger that changes the state of button 2 to Normal. If there's audio or video on the layer that you want to ensure the user plays, have the trigger run when the timeline of the layer ends. On layer 2, put a trigger to enable button 3. On layer 3, put a trigger to enable layer 4.

This post has a demo file with instructions for ways to restrict the Next button, including when you want to ensure someone views layers: TIP: Controlling the NEXT Button 101 | Articulate - Community.
