Graded Quiz: Fill In The Blank
Is it possible to have more than one fill-in-the-blank question on each slide?

Hiya, your top post almost answers my question, but I actually am looking for something a bit simpler!! How do I initially put more than 1 question per slide?!
You see I want to set up a slide with these questions on
1.Cranial nerves are numbered 1-12 from (i)…………… to (ii)……………….2.Cranial nerves emerge directly from the (iii)……………., themajority have their nuclei within the (iv)……………………, but the nuclei of CN1 andCN2 are within the (v)………………3.They are considered part of the (vi)……………….. NervousSystem, apart from CN2 (the (vii)………………………….) which is considered part of the(viii)……………. Nervous System4.Cranial Nerves can be purely (ix)……………………. Or purely(x)………………….., or both.5.Motor (efferent) fibres innervate(xi)………………………..(Striated) and (xii)………………….(smooth) muscles, as well as(xiii)………………6.(xiv)……………… (afferent) fibres can transmit general (eg touch, pressure) orvisceral (eg information from carotid body and sinus), or (xv)………………senses (eg taste, smell)So your example would work perfectly for a single one of those questions, BUT I would just as happily make each question only have 1 fill in the blank, but be able to layer up the questions onto one slide so each one can be marked separately...is there any way of doing that? Thanks!K - PhilMayorSuper Hero
Storyline is set up for one question only per slide.
It is possible to have what appears to be more than one question on a slide, but this normally involves hidden question slides to pass the results to the LMS
Much simpler to have one question only.

Hi Jeanette,
I have a question about the fill in the blanks. I need to create an activity with multiple blanks, and I need it to be graded so that the student only has 1 attempt. The activity is to divide a word into syllables, so I decided to have the word, then three blanks to write the syllables in. I'm not sure what the best way to create this activity would be. Any suggestions would be great!!
Thanks,
Daniela
Hi Daniela! This is not really supported by default, but there are a couple of Screenr tutorials that may help you accomplish what you are trying to do.
Using Storyline to evaluate multiple fill-in-the-blanks on 1 question slide
Requiring learners to enter values in all fields on a slide before advancing
I hope that one or both of these can help you. Hope you have a great day

Hi Daniela,
Leslie's links were good ones. I've attached an example here that I put together really quickly. Shout out if you have any questions.
Thanks Rebecca!

I uploaded my idea.
It uses variables to add data from one main question slide to multiple single question slides. Then it automatically advances the single questions slides to a results slide.
Best thing is this trick in many ways will allow any number of multiple different types of questions on one slide. All you need to do, using variables is to get the input to appear in lined up single question slides the user never gets to see.
Check out my example. - RebeccaFleischCCommunity Member
Hi Jason,
Welcome to the community!
Although I don't think this is what Daniela was looking for, it's very cool. People in the community are often asking how to evaluate questions in a way that Learners can get partial credit. So, I suggest you create a new post and upload your story there, using a subject line that indicates what this can do (e.g., partial credit for multiple fill in the blanks). I'd think it would be a popular thread.
And since you say it can be used for other types of tests, I'm sure the community would love to see examples.
Thanks for posting.
Hi Jason,
I just wanted to echo Rebecca's welcome and suggestion. Thanks for diving right in and sharing your examples, and the community will certainly appreciate it!

Hi all,
I am currently designing a summative test that requires multiple fill in the blank answers as part of a larger paragraph of text. All the answers need to fit on one page however I require each fill in the blank answer to be scored individually.
Can anyone help with this and talk me though how to do it?
