Grouped Buttons Changing States as One
I have a course where I have 8 buttons all in a group. I have rollover states, visited and active states, but ALL of the buttons in the group are responding together, so when I roll over one of the buttons, they ALL go to the rollover state. That's definitely not idea, so I'm wondering if there is something I've done wrong?

For me personally, what you have done wrong is to group them. Don't take it personally, but in SL, there is really little reason to use groups, for two reasons.
1. They only help you if there is a possibility you (your learners can't move them) might accidentally click one item and drag it somewhere. Far easier to prevent that by locking it on the timeline.
2. Groups in SL don't play nicely with anybody else, and especially states and triggers.
If you have to have them all be one, export each of them as an image, put them in a graphics editor, and bring them back as one graphic.
Not a personal condemnation, but you will have a lot happier workflow if you don't use groups.
Note: if you want only of them to be selected at a time, you can make them a button set, which is not the same thing as a group.

Thanks, but the reason I would use groups is so I can create a trigger to return all states to normal with one trigger, which helps control the active/non-active view. The alternative is writing triggers for each one, and with 8 items on the page that’s like 64 triggers to write. Groups solve this, and it’s how I would have managed this in Captivate....

And that is a perfectly good reason for using a group. I am experiencing the same issue with some grouped buttons - They all change state regardless of which one is rolled over. Another good reason to use groups is when you want to animate multiple objects at once rather than doing so individually.

I really wish Articulate would look at this. It's not often, but sometimes quite frustrating when features in Captivate are better than Storyline. I have come across a few that I really hope are being looked at, but some of them are issues that have been reported for 3 years with absolutely no communication from Articulate on a fix *Cough cough - continue button in quizzes cough cough*.

Hi I'm trying to create a button with an image, and I want to have a rollover like in Dreamweaver or other web design tools, is there a way to do it or I just add the javascript directly ?
