GUIDE: How to Upload Storyline Content to the Web Using Amazon S3
Hi All!
I've seen many people asking for additional help on how to upload Storyline projects using Amazon S3, so I put together a tutorial that should help out. If you have any additional questions or if anything needs to be modified, just let me know in the comments below.

Hi Devin,
Do you know how Amazon S3 handles open-ended text questions (where the learner types an answer)?
Thank you,

Hi Jewell! Amazon S3 is just to host your files, so they wouldn't do any handling of open-ended text questions. If you want to capture text responses, you can use xAPI to do so. This guide may point you in the right direction: https://www.devlinpeck.com/tutorials/full-guide-xapi-storyline

many thanks for taking the time to do this - it saved me a great deal of time!

I'm happy to hear that!
I also recently updated the guide so that it does not use Cloudberry...now the guide suggests dragging and dropping new files onto the S3 page. it should be much more streamlined now for new people going through it :) - matfo-ba13d0bd-Community Member
Hello, do you know how to create a temporary link?
For example, if I want to share the link of a course to a potential client for 2 days.
I'm looking for a tool that would allow me to create temporary access to our demos.
Thanks

Can anyone help with my frustrating A3 Bucket Issue?
I am a new A3 user and initially I followed Devlin Peck's steps and created a bucket and uploaded 4 Storyline courses in it and all 4 links worked perfectly because I followed Devlin's steps and made the bucket public. I then had to update a course and now that URL generated from A3 for that course will not work but the other 3 still work? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for sharing this tutorial, Devlin! AWS looks a bit different now, but I think I've figured out how to match the process for the most part. When I access my course through the URL generated by AWS, my slide background doesn't appear correctly (see attached screenshot of intended background vs. AWS background). Any idea what I'm doing wrong or how to fix it?
Also, if I've missed a more recent version of this tutorial, please point me in the right direction and I'll start there!

Hmmm...it looks like they did a UI update, so I will need to update the tutorial. My best advice about your issue is to make sure that everything within the folder is set to public read permissions.

Thanks for your quick response, Devlin! I figured out my issue: I was only
uploading subfolders when I should have been loading the overall parent
folder. Doh!Anyway, thanks for your help and for sharing your expertise with us!
Best,
Charli
