Has Anyone Figured Out Rise Pre-Test Reporting?
Okay, so here's my dilemma. I love the new pre-test feature. The idea is simple: if learners pass the pre-test, they can skip the course and get on with their day. If they fail, they complete the course as intended. Win-win.
My challenge is reporting. How do I get a report from the LMS that clearly shows whether a learner:
- Passed the pre-test and skipped the course, or
- Failed the pre-test and completed the full course?
Is this even possible? At the moment, it feels like Rise has delivered a fantastic new feature but forgotten to tell us how to measure its success.
Has anyone found a workaround, solution, or secret handshake that makes this possible?

Hi Penelope,
Thanks for explaining what you’re trying to measure! I can see why having both routes appear as complete would leave a gap in your reporting.
Rise 360 doesn’t currently send a separate indicator to the LMS showing that a learner passed the pre-test and skipped the content. Skipped content is marked complete, so overall course completion alone won’t distinguish those routes.
One option worth checking with your LMS administrator is whether your LMS provides reports showing responses to the pre-test questions, including which answers were correct or incorrect. Our guide to quiz data sent to an LMS explains what Rise 360 reports. Those details may help you review pre-test performance, though the pre-test results alone don’t explicitly identify whether the learner skipped the training.
How widely are you using pre-tests across your courses? That would help us understand the scope of this reporting need.
