Hazard Perception Video
Hello,
I was after some advice on whether it is possible to create a hazard perception type video in Storyline 360?
I have a video of a complaint call and the idea is for users to click at the point the pick up on a complaint point and for it to be recorded as a test.
I have added the video, added shapes over the full slide at the certain points I want the user to click and added the shapes as correct answers as a select multiple freeform question and set triggers to show the 'correct' layer when the shape is clicked between the correct time stamp.
That all kind of works but due to the select multiple freeform question, unless the user correctly selects all the complaint points they cant move on to the next video (they do not need to get all the complaint points to move on).
Im pretty new to Storyline so apologise if this is a simple fix so any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi Sean,
If the objective is simply to make sure the viewer views the whole slide to the end (no skipping ahead) you can do this via in-built player preferences - a quiz is not needed.

For feedback on individual clicks: add states to the shapes you already have in place to alert the viewer that their choices/selections are correct (or incorrect?).
If you need to gather data/track the users responses, e.g.: via a quiz format, as well as make sure they view the whole slide and, are able to proceed to the next slide on completion of video (even if they do not click anything) let me know, that will need a different approach.
If you wish, you can upload your SL file here for trouble-shooting.

Hi Sean,
"(they do not need to get all the complaint points to move on)."
There are a few different ways to resolve this, dependent on:- Is there a minimum number of complaint points they must get to move on? Just one? If not how many?
- Are there any individual complaint points they must get to move on?

Hi Ange,
Thank you for responding! So really a user can go through each video without finding any of the complaint points. It's very much a competency type course so in theory could not find any of the complaint points but still need to go through the course to the end.

Many thanks for your help! I have managed to get this sorted with a couple of triggers and working for what we need. Thank you Ange!
