Heart Rate Calculator for Rise
Hi everyone!
I'm developing a course about walking your way to fitness. Is it possible to embed a heart rate calculator in Rise? I read several discussions about how to create a calculator in Storyline, but I'm not sure if it's possible to create one that's targeted at calculating your heart rate. I tried searching for a flash-based heart rate calculator, but I didn't see anything that could work. Any ideas would be great as I'm very new to developing in Storyline.

See attached a rough prototype. I only worked on the math/logic, and on not making it 'look pretty'. There are other options available. For example, instead of the text entry for the age you could use a slider to select an age and recalculate the values.

You can add this Storyline block to Rise, as described here.
I'm not sure what the math is for calculating a heart rate. Do you mean a target heart rate based on age? Anyway, I'm pretty sure something like this can be built in Storyline and then add it as a block to RISE.

The math seems pretty simple. It’s 220 – your age. I wanted a calculator that could basically come to these calculations:
What should the inputs fields be? Age and max. heart rate? Or only age?
I think it would only need to be age. I'm not sure if it would be too complicated to run a calculation that would show the maximum heart rate and then percentages of that rate (at 60%, 65%, etc.)
My idea is that the learner could enter their age and hit Calculate, and then it would show them their maximum heart rate and the percentages in each of the training zones.
