Help/Guidance need with creating an Escape Room
Hi. I'm new to using Story Line and I'm building an Escape Room. I am trying to set it up so users have to complete tasks in a certain order. I'm struggling with finding the right function to make it work. I think creating variables is what I need to do but I can't figure out how to build them properly. Any help and guidance is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi, Joelle, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨
Thank you for reaching out!
I am looking forward to what our talented community members will suggest, but I wanted to share some resources in the meantime.
Depending on your design, you might need variables. However, also consider using states, as they might give you a simpler path to forcing the order of tasks. I created a short (less than 2 minutes) Peek 360 recording showing you what I mean.

Hi, Joelle,
You could set all the clickable objects (aka tasks) to Disabled, except the first one. So that would be the only doable action when the slide starts.
Enable the next item with a trigger that happens with the same action as whatever completes the first task. Repeat that basic process for each task.
If you have any branching options, use variables to track the user's choice. To do that, adjust the variable with conditions based on what was chosen.
