Hiding placeholder blocks from published content
Hi there,
I have a use case that I don't think is covered by the product as it currently exists.
I work on creating training materials for software solutions that change rapidly. This means that I can be writing a module in the knowledge that in the pipeline are updates that will fundamentally affect the flow of the lesson.
I want to be able to add placeholders for future features, but elect to hide them so that they do not display in a published output. (Similar to hidden slides in a Powerpoint deck that don't display during a presentation in presenter mode.)
Hi, ChloePinteau177!
I can see how placeholder blocks could save time and make course editing more efficient. Thanks for sharing that idea!
I've passed your feedback along to our product team. If we have any updates to share, we'll let you know.

Is there any special reason you can' t just create the slides/scenes for the content and not include them in navigation?

Yes: because I'm not using Storyline to create the content, I'm using Rise.
(Perhaps I should have made that clear in the body of the text - but I did tag for Rise and not Storyline.)
If there is a way to do this in Rise, then please tell me how as it's effectively the question I'm asking :) - JudyNolletSuper Hero
ChloePinteau177: Rise publishes everything in a course. It doesn't have a way to hide designated blocks.

Thanks JudyNollet - that's what I suspected. Do you know whether this is the best forum to add a feature request?

You can submit a feature request directly to the Articulate staff here: https://www.articulate.com/product-feature-request/
- Submitting a request doesn't guarantee that a feature will be implemented.
The E-Learning Heroes community also has a section specifically for suggestions: https://community.articulate.com/category/connect/discussions/share-ideas
