Sad, it would be nice if there was some sort of segmentation engine (like eg clipping magic) so we wouldn't have to draw regions by hand, but that's probably a century away...Thanks Martin (I know there are lots of work arounds outside of Storyline)

+1 AGAIN for this really quite basic feature. Once again I'm working on a project that has a number of shaped hotspots which need to be adjusted. The hotspots cover text and usually a complex shape over the image below, and the user can click to navigate to other slides.
I'm now making versions in other languages and some of the hotspot shapes that work for English text are either too small or need to be moved slightly for the text from other languages to fit. Being able to just alter the hotspot shape points would be so easy, but instead I have to make a whole new hotspot and copy all the triggers from the old hotspot.
This would be bearable for just one or two alterations, but I'm doing multiple languages with many many slides with multiple hotspots. Please Articulate... this 'feature' is so basic and has been requested for over 10 years now!

Added another feature request for this, cannot believe it's not been implemented yet after so much demand!

Hi Lee,
Sorry, three months late in responding to this! I would still go for creating the shape in Adobe Illustrator and then importing it. The shape can be created by taking the base image that you are trying to cover, importing it into Illustrator and creating a layer over the top. This layer can then be exported out as an image and then used in SL3 as a hotspot link (remember it will need, ideally, to be white, with a transparency of at least 99% when used in Storyline, which I find works fine, as it is virtually invisible). If the text changes in the base image, it is easy to replace the original base image with the new one in Illustrator, and then modify the layer to match. I appreciate it is a bit of a fudge, but SL3 is never going to have this feature and, despite repeated requests from the community, has not as yet, I believe, been integrated into 360. If there are multiple links on the image to different slides/layers, there is no easy way of getting around having to copy/recreate them, as you did, that I am aware of....but someone in the community may know otherwise.

Has this feature been implemented this feature yet? I can't seem to edit a freeform.
Thank you
