Hi Jong Min
when you download the zip or .exe file can you move it to the d: drive before you install? Just a thought

Hello Jon!
By default, Articulate Storyline 2 will install in the following directory, depending on your version of Microsoft Windows:
- 32-bit Windows: C:\Program Files
- 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)
Here is information on how to change the installation location.

Hey Emily,
Does the Link for changing the Installation Location hold good?
I tried to install in the other folder bus unfortunately no luck.
Regards
Sam Hi Sameer,
That link is for Storyline 2 - is that what you're using currently? If you're using Articulate 360, and looking to deploy it to a different install location our Support team can offer some other ideas around a silent install.

I also have a 2 TB D:/ drive and a 500 GB C:/ drive. Does anyone know if there is a way to switch the drives so the C:/ is the larger drive? I don't want to buy a new computer, so wondering if there are workarounds. I run Storyline on my D:/ drive and maybe that is why it shuts down or locks up frequently, but I just don't have the space on C:/

If it's a single device (not 2 physical hard drives), changing the allocation for drives C & D is handled by re-partitioning the physical drive into volumes which are different from what they currently are. Partitioning and re-partitioning isn't for the faint of heart, and requires a user with local admin privileges to run (you can REALLY muck things up if you aren't careful). Here's the basic process from Microsoft:
Manage basic volumes > Extend a basic volume
That said, 500GB is quite a bit. Do you know how much free space you have left?

Thanks for the link Joseph, I have about 2 GB left on my c:/ drive. Maybe this would be a job for the Geek Squad at Best Buy so I don't "muck" it up : )
I would hate to lose my files or mess up my computer, which currently is in great shape!
Hi Jeniffer,
Here's how you can install Articulate 360 applications on a custom directory on your machine. You'll want to make sure that your Articulate 360 Desktop app is updated to have this option available.
Hope this helps!

PERFORM. A. BACKUP. FIRST. I cannot stress that enough.
With drive space cheaper than water, and widely-available cloud storage from companies like Box and Dropbox, backing up your organization's intellectual property is not nearly as cost-prohibitive as it used to be. Add to that, with hard drive sizes as large as they have become, you have a LOT more to lose in the event of a drive failure.
