How can you manage many courses within a team in Rise360? Is it even possible?
We are moving a lot of our course development from Storyline to Rise but have started noticing some significant problems with the course management (to the point that we may need to consider a different product).
We will be producing 100+ Rise courses per year as a team, but it doesn't look as though there will be any usable way to manage this.
The issues we have identified so far...
- No way to view courses that are not in a folder, and no way when looking at all courses to tell if they are in a folder (and which folder if they are)
- No support for nested folders to support more complex course hierarchies
- No search box for courses at the top to filter them (or any basic filtering of courses)
- No course archiving for old courses
- No shared folder structure for the team - should include features like automatically sharing courses moved to that folder with selected team members
- No usable backup process - either online or offline
- No version control or way to snapshot and rollback courses
Is anyone using Rise360 at scale with a lot of courses? If so, how do you manage it?
Any suggestions and advice will be gratefully received!
Thanks,
Rob
Hi everyone!
We are excited to share that we have released Rise 360 Team Folders! You can now create shared team folders in Rise 360 to organize your content and share content with collaborators even faster. We know this has been a popular feature request and we can't wait for you to finally check it out!
Your Rise 360 dashboard will look a little different but don't worry. You can find all of your content, personal and shared, in the My View section. If you run into any snags or have additional questions about Rise 360 Team Folders, our team is available in this discussion or in a support case.

I don't really want to be "that guy"... am I alone in expecting that nothing will happen with this for years?

We have wholly scaled back on our RIse course development as course management is not scalable.

I'm reviewing alternatives as I type. We want to create more courses, we love Rise, but the lack of basic content management is negatively affecting our development capabilities.
The most frustrating thing is that the main functionality (folders, assigning new roles) is already there, it's just limited to one course at a time.
The fact that it hasn't made it on to the roadmap at all makes me think that Articulate are more focused on freelancers than on enterprise clients.
