How Do You Optimize Interactive eLearning Content for Mobile Devices?

Hi hardinjenne which software are you using? Rise or Storyline?

The short answer:

• Rise = Mobile, Desktop, and Tablet (responsive/adaptive/no fixed aspect ratio)
• Storyline = Desktop and Tablet (scale/fixed aspect ratio)

Rise

If developing content for mobile, then Rise is the recommended tool as it is responsive and is a tool that has been specifically design to adapt to all popular screen sizes. 

Storyline

Storyline is great for desktop and tablet, but is not suitable for mobile phones, as you will see the content "scales" rather than "adapts" to the screen size. This results in great looking font and button sizes for desktop and tablet, but tiny fonts and buttons for mobile. There is nothing you can really do about this, other than significantly increase your interface elements so that they are a good size for mobile. This results in huge fonts, buttons etc when viewing on desktop.
