Hi, I have very basic question concerning editining. We have prepared a course and zipped it. It seems we need to implement some changes though. The output is not to be seen when opening Storyline. In order to find it you need to browse.. The problem is: when we go to folder ...output, which file should we open in order to start the course?

Hi Malgorzata: I assume you have only uploaded the output to a regular web server since you Zipped the output folder. FYI: In order to upload your published output to a LMS, you need to ZIP the contents of the output folder. A file named imsmanifest.xml must be at the root of the SCORM ZIP file to work in a LMS. To use the course, the learner will launch the story.html file. This file will detect the browser and device type the learner is using and present the correct output for them. Also, you cannot edit the output of a published story, you can only edit the .story file contents. Best Regards, Dennis Hall

Hi Malgorzata: ?????? To edit your course you open the Storyline source file. The .story file that you created it in. If you created the course in Storyline, you go back to Sotryline to edit the course and republish. Hi Christina, Happy to help, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨ The source file you used to create your course in Storyline 360 ends with a .story extension, similar to a PowerPoint .ppt file. You can either: double-click that file to open Storyline 360, or Open Storyline 360 through the desktop tray app, and you should see a Recent section on the left side. Your file should show up, and you can click to access. The published zip files, on the other hand, are a collection of output files meant to be hosted on the web, or your LMS, for example, and cannot be used in Storyline. Thank you for your answer. I think I didn`t make my question clear I already published and zip my course for LMS and it works fine. However I found some mistales in the content that I need to correct. I would like to go back to output and make my corrections. I can`t see the outpuy in recently viewed, so I need to browse it. Which file should I open in order to open the whole course as a scene and make my corrections.

unfortunately, I don't have the story line file. That's why I had to edit using HTML tools. Anyways thanks for help.

Please can you assist. I need to amend a document that is sitting in Storyline and i need to move it out so that i can amend and make it editable again.

I do not have the *.story file for a set of content that will need to be edited. There is a PPTA and PPT file in the zip file that was shared. I am unable to work or import the PPTA file. How does one open this ?

Hello Janaki,

The files that were shared with you are Presenter 360 project files. If you'd like to work on the files directly in PowerPoint, you'll first need to install Studio 360, and then open the files as you would a PowerPoint presentation. If you prefer to work on the files in Storyline 360, you'll need to import the slides to a Storyline 360 project. Here's how:
