How to Edit Start and End Time for YouTube Videos
I am attempting to edit the code so that I can include both a beginning and end point to a youtube video I want to embed in my RISE course. I've attempted to make the changes, but so far I've only been able to adjust the start time, but not the end time.

Hello! I've also been trying to embed a YouTube video and stop it at the 424 second mark but it is not working for me either. I'm using the most updated version of Google Chrome to embed in a Rise course. Below is the code without any timing parameters - and even after I add the code, it still plays the whole 15+ minutes?
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Vu70r5bZ0hY?si=bj_t839xmyFq22Kf" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Hi MarissaSawyer-e,
Thanks for sharing the code you’re using!
When it comes to stopping a YouTube video at a specific time, that behavior is controlled by YouTube’s embed player, not Rise itself. While the start and end parameters can work in some cases, YouTube doesn’t consistently honor the end parameter across all videos or embed contexts, and that’s why you may see the video continue playing past the time you’ve set.
Because of that, this isn’t something Rise can reliably enforce or fix on its end, and support for end times in embedded YouTube videos can be inconsistent.
If you need precise control over where a video stops and you own the YouTube video, the most reliable option is to trim it directly in YouTube. That shortens the video itself, so it stops at the right point when embedded in Rise. Otherwise, using a pre-trimmed video file and adding it with a Video block is the most reliable alternative.
If you’d like us to take a closer look at a specific video to confirm what’s happening, you’re also welcome to open a support case and share the link you’re working with.
