How to insert symbol from character map in Rise?
This doesn't work for me. I don't get anything.
This is the important part:
Press and hold the ALT key and then enter the numbers:
Once you have entered the numbers let the ALT KEY go and then the symbol will appear.

Hello, I have tried holding down the ALT key and entering the number code but the copyright "R" is still not appearing....hmmmm.

Hi Michele,
If you are using a full-sized keyboard, use the numeric key-pad on the right to enter the numbers.

Hi Michele, try unicodes. Create in Word first and copy to Rise. Unicode for registered trademark is 00AE, then press Alt X. This is the only way I can get symbols into Rise paragraph text/numbered lists.

Thanks so much for this tip! I managed to get it working using the Unicode + ALTX tip in Word then cut and paste it into Rise! I needed a Webdings Character so I used this spreadsheet to find the Unicode: http://www.alanwood.net/demos/webdings.html. It's the column maked Hex and its the U + number!
