How to keep image quality after inserting into Storyline
Hi everyone,
It seems that no matter what quality an image has, its quality gets blurred after inserted into Storyline. Is there a way to keep the image quality as it is after inserting into Storyline?
Thanks in advance,
Cheng

Dear Alyssa,
I am having the same problem with PNG images with scale-to-fit browser player (that's how we need it.)
I already submitted this case in another thread, but maybe you can advise if the images should not be resized when inserted - should I prepare them with screen resolution 72 dpi or 96 dpi?
Or this does not matter since the page is resized anyway when fitting the full browser screen?
In the latter case how can we ensure that having the original images in a large resolution we do not end up with a blurry published image, when fitting the course to the full screen?
Many thanks!- DavidTaitSuper Hero
I always create my images at 96ppi and I don't have any issues with quality.
Most often they come in to Storyline larger than needed but scaling down to 65%-ish doesn't cause me any issues either.

We are having the same problem. Even when scaling the image down, at highest publishing output, the quality is blurred.
Hi there, Articulate1 User. Thanks for reaching out.
It sounds like you've adjusted the quality settings during publishing. Can you tell me if you're viewing your course after hosting it on a web server or LMS? Also, are you viewing HTML5 output?
If you'd like to share your image file that you're using so that I can test it out, you can add it as an attachment to your post in the discussion.

Hi,
Are there best practices for maintaining quality in Storyline 2?
Thanks!
Hi Greg,
Thanks for joining the conversation! Are you seeing problems with image quality in Storyline 2? Here are a couple of things I would recommend:
- Use an image that doesn't have to be scaled up or scaled down to fit on your slide.
- Adjust the image quality settings before publishing.
Let me know if that helps!

Hi there
I'm also experiencing the same issue
No matter what the size or the format of the image, the published format turns out to be blurry. I have adjusted the image quality to maximum before publish and I have not exceeded the maximum file size.
Thanks ':)
Hi Iman,
Thanks for chiming in. What version of Storyline are you using? Do you have a small sample file you can share with me that shows the bluriness you're seeing? Thanks!

Having the same problem. My screen capture are barely readable in Storyline. I'm using SL360

hi guys,
from what I have learned from experience, if you are inserting an image into storyline and then adjusting its size the image quality will degrade.
what I have done for now is to try as best not to adjust the images and that maintained the image quality.
