How to keep image quality after inserting into Storyline
Hi everyone,
It seems that no matter what quality an image has, its quality gets blurred after inserted into Storyline. Is there a way to keep the image quality as it is after inserting into Storyline?
Thanks in advance,
Cheng

Hi John,
You're spot on about scaling - that'll change the image quality and resolution. So take a look at the information here on some best practices for working with images in Articulate Storyline 360.

Dear all,
We have created a video using the Storyline 360 recording feature and now want to zoom in on different areas. Doing this we are seeing the same blurring issue you are mentioning is this posts. Has anyone seen this before.
Thanks and kind regards
Carol
Hi Carole!
Would you mind sharing a sample of the Storyline file that is giving you trouble? You can attach it right here, and please be sure to let me know what version of Storyline you used. Thanks!

In the latest version of SL3, I have the same issue:
- I have long images to insert, around 2000 px wide by 10000 px long; I use a scroll bar/area to fit them in.
- Whether be dragged and dropped in the slide (1024 wide by 640 high) or inserted, the image resizes itself to match the slide's height (640 px).
- When I use "Size & Position" to rescale them, the image now has an original size of 441 px wide by 2048 px high, meaning that when I rescale it, it never comes close to the image's actual original size, resolution and quality. The image not only resizes itself, but SL makes it its new size.
Is there a reason why SL3 doesn't keep the image's original size, regardless of how big it might be?

same thing here, I'm inserting images from PhotoShop and it gets blurry. I changed the publishing quality settings as well as the player settings for optimization. I'm using 360.
Hey Kim,
Would you be able to share your sample .story file here so that our team could take a look?

Hi, Alyssa: I'm having the same problem; my course looks crisp when I'm authoring but is blurry when I publish. Can I send you the file to take a look?
Hi Ellen,
I see that you reached out to our support team and Cleo was able to take a look and report this issue for further investigation.
Sorry that you ran into difficulty with this, but thanks for reaching out and sharing your file.

Now I am having a problem when authoring too:
Please see the difference in the fragments of the images: the original screenshot is crisp, image size is large enough. When I insert it via "Insert image" in storyline it already becomes a bit blurred but whithin a modern player it becomes just soapy.
The size of the image inside a player is not larger than original, so there should not be a problem.
It would be great if you could fix this issue, as it is very unfortunate for our learners. Hey Irina!
Thanks for reaching out here! I see my colleague Katie is helping you in your other discussion -- we can keep the conversation going there, if you'd like!
