How to make Rise 360 'real content' exports smaller

Hi, I have in issue with the file size of the 'real content' provided by Articulate. When I export the files they exceed the file limit for my LMS. I have used applications to compress the files, but they are still often too large. The content we receive from other vendors is more involved and still manages to meet the file limitations without concern. I must be missing something simple, but me and the surrounding team can't figure it out.

Does anyone have tips?

  • Did you receive any tips? I have a larger file limit, but the published files from "real content" are still over the limit.

      Hi Jill,

      The biggest culprit are videos.

Scenarios can add quite a bit to the size of the ZIP file.

I understand, but the Rise 360 "Real Content" has a lot of videos and we don't have any control on the published quality other then to remove them from the course.

Wondering if anyone found a way to "lighten up" the Rise 360 "Real Content" courses since it is coming in at 1.3 GB.

+1 as it seems to be an outstanding issue with the videos on these courses.

Does anyone know if a workaround has been identified?  I'm publishing Project Management 101 today and it exceeds our LMS size.  Also, does anyone know how many of the "Real Content" courses have this issue?

Hi Sandy - our workaround has just been to copy the courses and then chop up courses into smaller parts - e.g. having single lesson courses.

      Hi, SandyMyers!

I understand the course exceeds the maximum file size allowed by your LMS. The large file size is mainly attributed to the high-quality videos included in the template. As IECAcademy mentioned, you can divide the course into two or more smaller parts. You can also duplicate the course and remove different parts, or copy the lessons into a new one. I'll be sure to share your feedback with our product team as well!
