How to show time/duration on seekbar
Hi,
I got a question from a client - is it possible to have the time remaining / duration / length show either on the built in Seekbar, or a way to custom make a seekbar that does that? In this case, the student is watching an embedding video, if the video is 10 minutes long, is there a way to show after 2 minutes have passed and 8 remaining, etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can enable the play bar in the video settings through one of the menus. This allows for play pause functionality and skip through the progress. It has time settings too. However you cannot customize it much more than those features.

Mmmm....
The built in player provides that functionality as Tim says. See image . The video exists on the timeline so you could manually put, start stop pause buttons and 1 minute markers on the stage that and show total length numbers. Or have we misunderstood ?

HI Bruce. How could I show "time palyed / total tieme" as in your example, in the standard player's seekbar of SL360 and both for video files or audio files (TTS audio files as well)?
I attach the print scree of what I see on the player config in SL360. Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm really new to Articulate tools.

Is this issue is resolved now? I'm also struggling with the same. Our Client mandate this feature to be provided in all video based learning.
Hi Bruce,
From that image it looks like the video controls - not the seekbar itself, which wouldn't indicate an actual time - but just overall length till completed. Just want to be clear for Stephanie about what the options are.

Thanks, Ashley! I enabled the Show Video Controls for the video, not the seekbar, to show duration of the video.

Is there a way to make the video seekbar read only?

Hi Sajna
you can put a shape over it and then set a fill with 100% transparency.

Hi Indrajeet,
This is not a feature of Storyline currently - although you can share your thoughts on including this in the form of a feature request here.
