I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the slide advances option! Would you be comfortable sharing your .story file either publicly here or privately through a support case so we can see what's going on?
I could change it manually for each slide to complete the assignment. And now, when I tried to verify if the issue still persists (to change for the set of slides) looks like it is working as expected. I do see the drop-down option "By user" now.
But I didn't change anything with the deck or the software. Closed after exporting the file on that day and opened again today. Strange.
